The increasingly popular “Direct Cremation” involves an unattended cremation. Sounds simple? If you dig a little deeper, there may be elements to this type of package that you hadn’t considered.

Unlike many other direct cremation plans, our plan aims to create a more comprehensive and caring experience for your family when you die, by offering the following benefits:

  • The Funeral Director will select the crematorium. But we guarantee that it will be in your local area, within an agreed timeframe. This way you are not kept in storage for long periods, nor being transported long distances around the country. It also ensures that local economies are supported.
  • Care, preparation, and family viewings in the Chapel of Rest are included with our plan. This can be an important consideration.
  • We include 24-hour collection. This is within a local area designated by your Funeral Director. No extra charges will be incurred for this at time of need.
  • Your Funeral Director will inform your family on the date/time of the cremation. This way they can think of you or have a toast to you in that moment.

Traditional Cremation or Burial

We’ve taken the most popular elements of a funeral and combined them into our Traditional Plan. This then allows you to add extra items to create the funeral plan that you want.

Our plan includes a full cremation with celebrant service at a crematorium of your choice. It includes a traditional style oak veneer coffin and transportation via Hearse. Using this as a basis, you can add limousines, change your coffin or include contributions towards things you’d like.

Our plan offers the following benefits:

  • Crematorium, celebrant, doctors and professional fees are fully guaranteed within the plan.
  • Your plan can be converted to a burial.
  • You can create a plan as bespoke as you like, as you aren’t limited to a fixed selection of products and services.

What’s included?

  • £295 (non-refundable) administration fee for the initial set-up of your Funeral Plan

  • £200 management fee for the ongoing maintenance and management of your Funeral Plan

  • Professional fees for the services of your Funeral Director

  • 24-hour collection from anywhere in the local area

  • Care, preparation, and dressing

  • Supply of a “Traditional” wood veneer coffin

  • Visiting the Chapel of Rest (working hours)

  • Transportation to the crematorium/cemetery via Hearse.

  • Pallbearers

  • Service at a crematorium/cemetery of your choice at an agreed date/time

  • Collection or delivery of ashes in the local area

Additional Contributions

Please note these items are not fully guaranteed and should the cost exceed your contribution at time of need, the difference in cost will be payable by your family or estate.

  • £1200 towards “Third Party Disbursement” fees. This could include crematorium fees, interment fees, celebrant/minister fees

  • “Contributions towards”. This could include funds to top up your third party costs or a contribution towards items not covered e.g. flowers

In order to customise your plan you might consider the following

Transportation

Upgrade your hearse to an alternative option. Your Funeral Director can advise you on what options are available in your area.

Add one or more limousines to transport your family on the day of the funeral – add £250 per limousine.

Coffin

Upgrade your oak veneer coffin to an alternative option:

A natural wicker coffin can look stunning decorated with flowers and is ideal for burials – upgrade for £350.

Create your own design coffin design based on your favourite things in life e.g. a photo montage or your football team – upgrade for £450.

Add “Contributions Towards”

Potential price increases of some things are too far out of our control to guarantee within our plans.

If they are things you would definitely like then you could include a contribution towards them e.g. a church service, flowers, a headstone, keepsakes.

Convert to a Burial

Typically the crematorium fees are equivalent to an interment fee. Should there be any unanticipated differences, your funeral director will advise you.

You will need to purchase your burial plot separately. Your Funeral Director will assist with this if required.
