Everyone has reasons personal to them and their individual circumstances.  Most people want to do this to save their family the expense and trauma when they pass away.  Some people do it to ensure that their wishes are followed when they pass.

What does an IFPS funeral plan include?2022-07-12T14:25:31+01:00

IFPS aim to provide everyone who comes to us with the funeral they want.  We endeavour to give you all the help you need to achieve this, whatever your requirements are.  We have our own dedicated Trust, The IFPS Funeral Plan Trust, and our Appointed Representatives, Go As You Please Funerals were an accredited supplier of funeral plans by Funeral Planning Authority.

It’s simple, we don’t make as much profit.

Optional extras like press notices, flowers, keepsakes, embalming, out of area repatriation and masonry are not included, however you can include a contribution towards these if you wish.  Please refer to our Funeral Plans page for what is/isn’t included in our individual packages. Our Terms and Conditions also provide more detailed information.

Your money is paid directly into our independently managed Trust Fund where it is invested by specialist investment managers until your funeral plan is redeemed. This covers the cost of the setting up and administration of your plan, and is paid directly to IFPS.

We have a one-off administration fee of £295 applied to every plan. This covers the cost of the setting up and ongoing administration of your plan and is paid directly to IFPS.

What happens in the event of the failure of IFPS Ltd?2022-07-12T14:34:33+01:00

In the event of the Firm’s failure to meet its obligations, it will seek an alternative provider or reimburse its customers.

In the event of insolvency, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or insolvency practitioner would seek to secure an alternative provider to deliver the plan under the original agreed terms. Please see our Terms & Conditions for further information

Yes you can buy a plan on behalf of someone else.

Can me and my wife/husband buy a plan for whoever goes first?2021-11-08T16:00:48+00:00

When you buy a Funeral Plan, it needs to be purchased by/for one individual. However they then own this Funeral Plan and have the right to transfer it to someone else should they wish to.

Can I cancel?2022-07-12T14:35:15+01:00

Please see your terms and conditions for your right to cancel your funeral plan. You will not incur a cancellation fee, but we may withhold an administration fee as set out in our terms and conditions/your application form.

You should always make sure you have travel insurance when you go on holiday, and this should cover repatriation in case of your passing whilst away. If you are on holiday in the UK it may be that we can assist with repatriation.
